Get Rid Of Your Bad Driving Habits!

bad driving habits

Ever get cut-off in traffic and think, “Oh well.  I’ve made that same mistake before?”  Odds are, no – that’s not a common reaction. However, it is true. We all make mistakes in the car. Admitting we have a problem is the first step towards a solution. The next step is learning what we can do about it. Here are a bad driving habits that you may be guilty of:

Tailgating. A helpful tip to prevent you from tailgating is to remember that in the event that you rear-end someone, you will be faulted for not establishing a healthy clearance.

Territorial Drivers. It’s not YOUR road. We share the road with others. So, when someone is trying to merge, make room if you can.

Inconsistent Speeders. Though you may not care if you oscillate back and forth between 60 and 75 mph, it’s awfully annoying for the drivers behind you. Adaptive cruise control isn’t ubiquitous yet.

Skimmers. These are people who don’t move over a lane when passing a stopped vehicle on the shoulder. Ever try to change a tire when cars are going 80 mph about seven feet from you? It’s terror – abject terror. Get over if you can.

The bottom line in driving, just like in life, is the golden rule.  Treat other drivers how you’d like to be treated and you should fare well on America’s mean streets. We here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge want all of the drivers out there to be safe!

Dodge Viper ACR, The Latest Version Of America’s Most Unique Sports Car

dodge viper acr

2015 Dodge Viper

The Dodge Viper is just about as crazy as you’d expect it to be. Wired.com’s glowing review describes the latest Dodge Viper ACR as “the best, strongest, fastest version of a machine that is already insanely, impractically capable.”

Each Dodge Viper is hand-built at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit by 64 craftsmen. The pace at which they build them is extremely slow compared to mass-produced models.

The current base model of the Viper features a 8.4-liter V10 engine. This ridiculously powerful engine sends power to the wheels by way of a manual transmission. As Wired.com points out, the Viper has never had an automatic. It’s just not that kind of car. In fact, “The car didn’t even get electronic stability control until the government decreed it, in 2012.”

The “ACR” part of the Dodge Viper ACR stands for “American Club Racer,” since the latest version of the Dodge Viper is a throwback. It’s just one way that Dodge is keeping this truly unique sports car alive.

Fiat Chrysler April Sales Show Huge Increase, Jeep’s Best Month Ever

Fiat Chrysler April Sales

Fiat Chrysler is on track to celebrate one of its best years ever once 2015 comes to an end, if sales from the past four months are any indication. The auto company recently announced that their U.S. sales increased by 6 percent in April, as well as over the first third of the year.

The star of the April sales in particular was the new Jeep Renegade, a mini SUV that just went on sale. In fact – Jeep as a whole had their most successful month of all time.

The sub-brands within Fiat Chrysler had their ups and downs last month, ultimately balancing positively to produce these impressive numbers. The prosperous models include the Dodge Challenger – which also had its best month ever – as well as the in-demand 2015 Chrysler 200.

At this rate, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised if 2015 marked broken records across the board for the automakers, based on the Fiat Chrysler April sales. What do you think? Let Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep know your thoughts in the comments.

Renegades By X Ambassadors: A “Spot On” Accompaniment for Jeep Renegade

The Jeep Renegade is one of Kelley Blue Book’s Best SUVs for Under $25,000. Other accolades include Arizona AAA Top Pick For Cool Car Segment and KBB’s 10 Favorite New-For-2015 Cars, according to Jeep.

So when you are creating a marketing spot for the Renegade, any accompanying music has got to reflect that kind of flair, a song like “Renegades” by X Ambassadors.

Enter the X Ambassadors. The band hails from Brooklyn and, for some reason, their song entitled “Renegades” seemed appropriate for the campaign. Apparently, the song title was a coincidence.

Jeep had partnered with Interscope records and had challenged the record label to deliver a piece of music that reflected “the theme and the spirit of the new Jeep.” It just so happened that X Ambassadors, an Interscope artist, had been working on the “Renegades” that embodied the spirit of the Jeep.

Fiat Chrysler chief marketing officer Olivier Francois was happy with the marriage, to say the least. He said “The music is a smash, the hook is super catchy….The script of the song is…spot on.”

Chrysler 300 and Jeep Renegade Earn Place on 10 Best Interiors List

10 Best Interiors List

It took the editors of WardsAuto two months to evaluate the interior of 42 new vehicles and select their top 10 picks. Two of those chosen 10 belong to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) — the 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum and 2015 Jeep Renegade. Both award-winning vehicles can now add “Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2015” to their growing lists of accolades.

When crafting the interiors of the 2015 Chrysler 300 and Jeep Renegade, designers had three main principles in mind: create an emotional design that uses high-quality materials, integrate state-of-the-art technology, and make wise and efficient use of space.

“The FCA US interior design team pays meticulous attention to detail, whether it’s selecting the perfect materials and color combinations to ensuring the communication experience is intuitive and simple to use,” said Klaus Busse, vice president of Interior Design for FCA — North America. “To have the Chrysler 300 and Jeep Renegade named to Ward’s 10 Best List signifies that we have achieved our mission to offer products that go above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers.”

Vehicles were evaluated for design, materials used, ergonomics, safety, comfort, technology, color scheme in relation to the exterior, etc. They were then assigned a score from 0 to 100.

To learn why the interiors of the Chrysler 300 and the Jeep Renegade earned their places on the top 10 list, you’ve come to exactly the right place. Visit us at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep and we’ll be glad to show you.
