The Most Expensive Ram Truck Yet; 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition.
Different shoppers look for different things out of their automobiles. That’s no mystery. But some people might have trouble choosing between aesthetics and functionality. That battle between values becomes obsolete when you look at the most expensive Ram truck yet—the new 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition. This high-end trim level is named after an extremely strong metal. While there is no tungsten in the makeup of this truck (since the metal itself is very rare), that name does well to indicate that these pickups hold onto the rugged, strong capability of the Ram pickups while adding unlikely luxurious features that are far and few between in hard-working trucks.
The 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition comes crafted with white-and-indigo leather, a suede headliner, and real wood trim. It’s also packed with standard and indulgent features, such as a heated steering wheel, the Uconnect infotainment system on an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
If you want people to know that you value both capability and style, or if you simply want the most luxurious truck on the market, don’t hesitate to stop by Rochester Hills CDJR to try out the 2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition.
Interested in getting a new truck? We understand why. They’re capable, reliable, and offer unprecedented towing power. Here are some of our top reasons for why you should own a pickup truck.
Power and Capability
Pickup trucks typically come with several engine and transmission options that crank out some serious ponies, as well as having good ground clearance, rigid body construction, and wheels built for traction.
In addition to delivering plenty of power, pickup trucks provide drivers with the ability to tow and haul whatever they need. Whether you’re hauling boats for a weekend away or a trailer full of moving boxes and furniture, your truck has got you covered.
Safety and Visibility
Pickup trucks are a lot taller than your average car, so you’ll be able to see a lot more on the road. Plus, with a tough body construction and advanced safety features, pickup trucks are often safer, too.
With the ability to tow and haul, pickup trucks can be used for many different purposes. Depending on your needs, you can choose between several different body configurations of both cabs and truck beds to make your pickup truck your own.
If you’re on the hunt for a new pickup, head over to Rochester Hills CDJR to see our inventory of capable, popular RAM trucks.
Everyone knows that Ram rocks, but it’s still nice to hear.
Automotive Fleet magazine holds a yearly voting process in which its readers – over 20,000 operators and owners of commercial truck fleets in North America – select which truck they like the best. Competition in the segment is always rough, but Automotive Fleet said the votes favored a clear winner by a landslide. The results are in, and this year, the Fleet Truck of the Year title went to the Ram 1500.
The Ram 1500 is no stranger to the honor, either. This is the second time in the past three years the truck has taken home the award. The 1500 succeeded in categories such as application effectiveness, durability, quality, servicing, maintenance, and lifestyle costs. Amazingly, the Ram 1500 was one of forty trucks contending for the award, but managed to pull into the number one spot regardless.
Bob Hegbloom, the head of the Ram Brand of FCA North America, commented on the win, “Receiving an award based on such an experienced audience truly gives Ram Truck more momentum and confirms we are delivering the features most important to business owners.”
Ram enthusiastically accepted the 2015 Fleet Truck of the Year award, happy to receive recognition for their continued commitment to excellence.
Odds are high that if you love country music, you probably love yourself a good pickup truck, too. Which is why it makes perfect sense for Ram Trucks and Rolling Stone Country to come together to make country music even better.
As part of this partnership, there is a new, daily, hosted video series called the “Ram Report” available online. This series takes a look at some of the biggest country music news of the day and frequently features exclusive interviews with some of country music’s biggest stars.
“We are thrilled to partner with Ram on this exciting program, which marks Rolling Stone’s commitment to country music and our dedication to creating quality video content,” said Gus Wenner, Head of Digital of Wenner Media, in a statement. “We started Rolling Stone Country out of a deep love for the music, and look forward to this collaboration that will reach an audience who are as passionate about their trucks, as they are about their music.”
What kind of content would you like to see from this partnership with Rolling Stone Country? All of us here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge would like to know your thoughts!
It may seem odd, but one of the fastest growing segments of the auto industry is that of the compact cargo van. FCA isn’t just sitting idly bye as this segment continues to grow either. They are jumping head first and offering one of the best compact cargo vans for the money, the Ram ProMaster City.
“As businesses strive for lower costs, the demand for a smaller, more efficient van has increased and Ram Commercial is answering the bell with the all-new ProMaster City,” Reid Bigland, President and CEO — Ram Truck Brand, Chrysler Group LLC said in a Chrysler press release. “Years ago, the selection of delivery and cargo vehicles was limited and those offerings didn’t focus on cost of ownership. Today all of that has changed with the recent introduction of the full-size Ram ProMaster, and the now the Ram ProMaster City.”
As Bigland said, there is now a renewed focus on the cost of ownership of a cargo van or fleet of them. One of the biggest costs considered is fuel. That is why the Ram ProMaster City has been outfitted with a 2.4-liter Tigershark I-4 engine, the same one found in popular models such as the Chrysler 200, Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee. Additionally, it has been made the world’s first commercial van with nine-speed automatic transmission and the ProMaster City, as with all Ram trucks, comes with a five year/100,000 mile warranty.
While we here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram don’t typically carry commercial trucks like the 2015 Ram ProMaster City, we offer a car finder form, which will allow us to help you get your hands on the highly anticipated compact cargo van without searching all over the state.
Recently, Consumer Reports has come out with their ratings and this year is favoring the Ram 1500. Scoring the highest rating overall, director of Consumer Reports, Jake Fisher, feels, “The Ram 1500 is surprisingly luxurious and refined — but still fully capable of doing hard work when needed.” Some updates to the Ram including the interior and powertrain have improved the Ram 1500 drastically. These high ratings came from tests ranking all full-size pickups in the auto industry. The Ram 1500 scores high in the “Recommended” ratings due to the great crash test scores and higher reliability ratings. The Ram trim tested was the Ram 1500 Crew Cab four-wheel drive, because it is the most popular engine option. In this pickup truck there is a 5,7-liter Hemi V-8 complete with a new automatic eight-sped transmission. In Consumer Reports independent fuel economy test, the Ram 1500 won a class-leading overall 15 mpg. Other truck ratings among Consumer Reports ranked the Nissan Titan and the Ford F-150 pickup trucks among the bottom. Currently, Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, in Rochester Hills, MI has many Ram 1500 vehicles to choose from. Search the new and used truck inventory to see if you find one you like! Chrysler was recently selected by DiversityBusiness.com as one of the Top 50 Companies Creating Opportunities for Multicultural Businesses. The 13th annual list is a result of an online election that involves over a million multicultural business owners. Online voters are asked to answer ten questions about company performance relating to the opportunities the companies provide to minority-owned businesses.
“Chrysler Group is celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of our supplier diversity program this year,” said Scott Kunselman, Senior Vice President of purchasing and supplier quality for Chrysler. “We remain as committed as ever to creating opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned businesses because we believe that a diverse supply chain leads to better, more innovative products for our customers,” said Kunselman.
Chrysler has had a commitment for decades to increase purchasing from suppliers that are either minority-owned, women-owned, or veteran owned. Chrysler’s diversity goals require that ten percent of a Tier One supplier’s procurement purchases are sourced to minority suppliers. Earlier this year, Chrysler announced that it spent over two billion dollars with about 200 minority suppliers in 2011.
Chrysler continues to strive for diversity and supports several organizations that achieve minority sourcing goals, including the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
