The Jeep Brand broke all kinds of records in May. It’s the kind of thing the brand has been doing a lot of recently—breaking records, that is. Jeep set a monthly sales record both globally and in the U.S. for the third straight month. The brand sold 100,207 vehicles globally in May, 70,203 of which were sold in the U.S. May 2014 was the first single month to see global Jeep sales top 100,000 units and also the first to see U.S. sales top 70,000 units.
“After setting back-to-back annual sales records the past two years, the Jeep brand has now set three consecutive monthly sales records – topping 100,000 global sales and 70,000 U.S. sales in May,” Mike Manley, President and CEO of Jeep Brand for Chrysler, said. “It is clear that customers across the globe value the unique balance of legendary 4×4 capability and significantly improved fuel efficiency and on-road driving dynamics that the Jeep SUV lineup delivers. We look forward to continuing Jeep sales momentum in 2014, especially as the all-new Renegade arrives in Europe in the fourth quarter.”
Those customers were especially high on vehicles like the new and redesigned Cherokee, the Compass, and the Wrangler, all of which posted individual monthly sales records in May. Plus, as Manley’s quotes portend, there is no real reason to expect this great sales rush to slow down for Jeep anytime soon. Between the all-new Renegade, the redesigned Cherokee, and the rest of the iconic SUV lineup, the deck is stacked in Jeep’s favor for the foreseeable future. For the present, however, come be part of the party; come see us at Rochester Hills CDJR today to find out which Jeep fits your personality.
