By placing more recycling bins in traffic-heavy areas of the Fiat-Chrysler America assembly plant in Belvidere, Illinois, FCA and PepsiCo Recycling encourage employees to recycle more trash, which in turn supports PepsiCo Recycling’s partnership with the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities. This program provides business training to disabled veterans to help them get back on their feet after returning from the line of duty.
FCA officials have been looking for a way to decrease landfill waste and increase recycling, and the partnership with PepsiCo and its support of veterans is the perfect way to go about it. Plant employees are doubly encouraged to recycle, knowing they will help both the environment and the men and women of the armed forces.
FCA also has a long history of supporting the military, including cash allowances for veterans buying new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles and teaming up with the Prestige Group Co. to grant internship positions at FCA to returning veterans.
If you’re looking for ways to help the environment, then why not look into purchasing a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle?
Fiat Chrysler is on track to celebrate one of its best years ever once 2015 comes to an end, if sales from the past four months are any indication. The auto company recently announced that their U.S. sales increased by 6 percent in April, as well as over the first third of the year.
The star of the April sales in particular was the new Jeep Renegade, a mini SUV that just went on sale. In fact – Jeep as a whole had their most successful month of all time.
The sub-brands within Fiat Chrysler had their ups and downs last month, ultimately balancing positively to produce these impressive numbers. The prosperous models include the Dodge Challenger – which also had its best month ever – as well as the in-demand 2015 Chrysler 200.
At this rate, we certainly wouldn’t be surprised if 2015 marked broken records across the board for the automakers, based on the Fiat Chrysler April sales. What do you think? Let Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep know your thoughts in the comments.
The new services are specifically designed to improve consumer convenience by helping them monitor and maintain important aspects of their vehicle, easily navigate to their destination of choice, and track their vehicle’s location at all times.
Along with the four new in-vehicle services will come a refreshed Uconnect Access smartphone application, through which users will be able to access numerous services—including several of the aforementioned—more quickly and intuitively than ever before.
“We understand that our customers lead busy lifestyles and our goal is to minimize the everyday stresses by providing drivers with a variety of ways to stay conveniently connected to their vehicle,” said Al Amici, Head of Global Uconnect Systems and Services.
