Redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200 Comes with Luxury Look

2015 Chrysler 200 redesign

2015 Chrysler 200

The Chrysler brand has redesigned several of its sedans, making them more marketable and valuable than ever before. One of the vehicles to receive this treatment was the 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan, a sports sedan with a new aggressive exterior style and an awesome list of standard features and options that will appeal to even the pickiest consumers.

The 2015 Chrysler 200 redesign shares much of its DNA with that of the Jeep Cherokee and Dodge Dart. It includes high-strength steel to give you better driving dynamics, a quieter ride, and a rigid body. The Chrysler 200’s powertrain lives up to the promise of that exterior and body design, too. The V6 engine goes from zero to sixty in just 6.2 seconds.

Of course, you can also opt for a 2.4-liter engine that comes with more fuel efficiency and front-wheel-drive capability, so you always have options when it comes to the powertrain. You can also use the “sport” mode on the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, though, so choosing between the two will probably be a hard thing to do. 2015 Chrysler 200 Diesel Engine Option a Possibility

2015 Chrysler 200 Diesel Engine

2015 Chrysler 200

Fiat Chrysler sparked a bit of controversy last week, when some information inadvertently leaked, indicating that the auto company might be designing a diesel engine for one of their passenger cars, the 2015 Chrysler 200.

Allpar, a car enthusiast website that admittedly offers “no guarantees regarding validity … of information” in their disclaimer, mentioned a 2.2-liter “DeTomaso” diesel engine as an option for the Chrysler 200, which was then backed up by Automotive News, a reputable industry trade journal.

Adding even more credit to this possibility, Italian engine-makers Alfa Romeo are currently designing an engine that matches that of the Chrysler 200 listing. And yes, Alfa Romeo has frequently worked with the Italian car company called – you guessed it – “DeTomaso.”

However – Chrysler itself hasn’t confirmed the diesel engine option.

The Alfa Romeo engine in production is said to have multiple horsepower outputs, ranging from 135 to 200 horsepower. What do you think about this 2015 Chrysler 200 diesel engine? The 2015 Chrysler 200 Earns a Superior Safety Rating from IIHS

The only time it is okay to wreck a brand new, perfectly fine 2015 Chrysler 200 is when you’re working for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, IIHS, and you’re testing to see how well it holds up during various types of crashes. That is it. All other times, we recommend you keep this beautiful automobile in as nice a condition as possible.

However, accidents happen, even to the most cautious drivers. That is why the IIHS takes the time to test vehicles in the first place. Well anyone interested in owning the 2015 Chrysler 200 can rest assured knowing that it is officially a Top Safety Pick+.

“The 200 earns a superior rating for front crash prevention when equipped with its optional forward collision warning system with autobrake, part of a package called SafetyTec,” according to a IIHS press release. “In track evaluations, the system completely stopped the vehicle in the Institute’s 12 mph test and significantly reduced the vehicle’s speed in the 25 mph test.”

To get the all-new and extremely safe 2015 Chrysler 200 for yourself, be sure to come see us at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. After all, a very small percentage of cars actually earn a rating of “good” on small overlap front crash tests, wouldn’t be nice to know you’re driving one?

“Born Makers” Continues Chrysler’s Made in America Campaign

A new Chrysler commercial asks the question, “What is a born maker made from?” They then proceed to answer that question during their new commercial “Born Makers” with endearing characteristics of American fortitude such as callused hands, strong backs from small steps turned giant leaps.

The commercial is specifically for the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200, although the car itself isn’t mentioned until the end of the 1-minute spot. The idea is that Chrysler wants to evoke all the positive sentiment and national pride that comes with a sense of American ingenuity when people see their new car.

The “Born Makers” commercial “reminds us that it’s not just dreaming big ideas but also having the ingenuity and commitment to make them happen. It’s an homage to American innovation, serving as a reminder that you don’t have to cross an ocean for a car you’re proud to have in your driveway,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, Chrysler Group LLC in a Chrysler press release. “The all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 embodies this ideal. It’s a perfectly timed coming together of people, resources and spirit of the Chrysler brand.”

This commercial continues a line of Made in America campaigns that we’ve addressed before at the Rochester Hills Blog. Let us know what you think of the newest one.

Chrysler is America’s Import

Chrysler is America's ImportChrysler wants to get one thing clear… It is an American company. It is a message that they have been trying to get across since the 2011 Super Bowl when they had one of the best commercials of the game, featuring Eminem driving a Chrysler 200 and a tagline that read “Imported From Detroit.”

With the 2014 Super Bowl, the company now known as FCA took a very similar approach with a commercial featuring the all-new 2015 Chrysler 200, Bob Dylan and a tagline “America’s Import.”

We here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram are proud to offer an extensive selection of American cars to our consumers. Although the 2015 model is not yet available here, we know that the 2014 Chrysler 200 is a great alternative if waiting for the 2015 to be available is not an option for you.

Whether you’re looking for the understated elegance of a closed sedan or the freedom of a convertible, the Chrysler 200 is your pick; and an IIHS top-safety pick as well. You’ll be hard pressed to find a car that combines a thrilling driving experience with affordability and good fuel economy. Dodge Dart, Avenger, and Chrysler 200 Earn IIHS’s Top Safety Pick

Chrysler 200

Three vehicles from the Chrysler Group have made it to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety’s list of Top Safety Picks: the Dodge Dart, Dodge Avenger, and Chrysler 200.

This marks the sixth time that the IIHS has recognized the Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200, which both offer all of their available safety features as standard equipment. While the Dodge Dart can’t make the same claim, as it’s still a relatively new entry to the market, it has still managed to make the list every year it’s been on the market—and if you don’t put much stock in the IIHS’s testing, it also got a 5-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to boot.

To earn a Top Safety Pick badge, all three vehicles had to achieve the best possible rating of “good” in the moderate-overlap frontal crash test, the side impact test, the roof strength test, and the whiplash test. They also had to earn at least “acceptable” ratings in the new small-overlap front crash test.
