Economic Off-roading: The 2017 Jeep Wrangler is Going Green

It’s a mean, green, Wranglin’ machine!

You heard right, the Jeep Wrangler is going green – and not just its color. Renowned for its off-roading capabilities and iconic look, the forthcoming 2017 Jeep Wrangler will include hybrid options for consumers.

Expected to launch in 2017, the overhauled off-roading vehicle will offer fuel economy savings with a gas-electric hybrid drivetrain and a reduction of bulk with the use of lightweight materials such as aluminum, and possible carbon fiber parts.

“For those people who use the Wrangler, the most important thing is the initial torque and the crawl ratio. With an electric motor you have the most torque available and with the right combination of transmission and gear ratios you can create incredible crawl ratios,” says Mike Manley, Jeep President and CEO.

However, for the patrons that worry a hybrid Wrangler model just won’t cut it in the back woods, Jeep says they will also offer a diesel version as well.

Go green with us at Rochester Hills, where we will be happy to show you your new 2017 Jeep Wrangler hybrid in the near future!
