“Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey” in Dallas on November 1

Dallas is a heck of a long drive from Rochester Hills, but Dodge and rock ‘n’ roll enthusiasts in the area might want to start game-planning for a trip. On November 1, Mötley Crüe brings their “All Bad Things Must End” farewell tour to the Gas Monkey music venue in Dallas for a performance that will be a part of the “Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey” car show and concert.

If you are the proud owner of a Dodge Challenger, Charger, or Viper, then you’ll want to pre-register to show off your own bad thing at “Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey.” It costs $100 to register for two passes at www.dodgerocksgasmonkey.com, but here’s a trick that your wallet is going to love: once you arrive at the show in your prized Dodge, you’ll receive $100 cash.

That means that it’s free to attend as long as you show off your pride and joy.

In addition to the car show, Dodge will be offering the opportunity to ride in a Dodge Viper drift car or the insanely powerful Challenger Hellcat. It all culminates in an adrenaline-packed performance from Mötley Crüe at 9pm.

New Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Gets 22 MPG

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

The Dodge Challenger is all about defying convention and expectation; come on, it’s right there in the name even. Of course, we were all recently blown away by the revelation that the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the 2015 year model, would get an unprecedented 707 horsepower. However, the most recent announcement is just as impressive, especially because of that huge horsepower number.

The new Hellcat will still get a very impressive 22 mpg on the highway. “The new 2015 Dodge Challenger is the perfect street / strip muscle car,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO – Dodge and SRT Brands. “As the fastest muscle car ever, the Challenger Hellcat can run 10-second ETs at the track, and then get 22 miles per gallon on the drive home. With a starting price of $59,995, there’s nothing else that even comes close.”

So, if you were leaning toward splurging on an all-new Hellcat, but you were worried it would eat your wallet alive in fuel costs, put that burden to rest. Come see us here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep to experience the all-new super-powerful and super-efficient Challenger for yourself.

Jeep Brand Lineup More Diverse and Exciting than Ever Before

Jeep Brand Lineup

2015 Jeep Renegade

Here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep, we’ve always thought of the Jeep brand as a rather singular talent. The brand does one thing—makes off-road capable SUVs—and does it better than any other automaker in the world. So, we’re certainly not complaining or calling the brand a one-trick-pony. However, we’re still excited to report that, when the 2015 Jeep Renegade hits dealerships in the next few months, the Jeep brand will now have a full, diverse lineup of eight distinct vehicles.

Those vehicles include the Cherokee, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee SRT, Patriot, Renegade, Wrangler, and Wrangler Unlimited, all of which offer their own unique talents while maintaining their quintessential Jeep flair. “Now in its eighth decade of legendary heritage, the Jeep brand continues to deliver an open invitation to live life to the fullest by offering a full line of vehicles that provide owners with a sense of safety and security to handle any adventure with confidence,” a Jeep press release stated. “Since 1941, when the first Jeep vehicle was born, the brand has continued to engineer and produce unique, versatile and capable vehicles.”

The new Jeep Renegade will allow the brand to make a foray into the small SUV segment, bringing the joys of Jeep to even more customers than ever before. Come see us at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep to be one of those customers yourself!

Fighting Fatigue Behind the Wheel

Fatigue Behind the Wheel

Fatigue Behind the Wheel

Americans are living life at a faster pace than ever before. We are busier, more active, and more committed to our families, jobs, and hobbies than decades past.  In a world that seems to move at warp speed and there is never enough time to get everything done, we survive off less sleep and more coffee.

While we might be accomplishing more while feeling more fulfilled and successful, we might also be putting ourselves and other at serious risk. Fatigue behind the wheel is a serious and growing problem as more Americans find themselves exhausted during their commute. Driving while fatigued can be just as serious as drunk driving by impairing motor skills, cognitive ability, reasoning skills, and vision.

According to autos.aol.com, AAA says that fatigued driving may be the cause for up to 11.6 percent of all fatal accidents. According to a survey from DMEautomotive, Americans are fighting fatigue in all the wrong ways. Drinking caffeine, opening windows, blaring loud music, pulling over to exercise and stretch, and turning up the air conditioning are the most common methods of combating the effects of sleep deprivation, but are ineffective.

The only real solution is to pull over and take a nap. The common methods listed above only remedy the problem for a short time. “This survey reveals a big problem: when people get sleepy on the road, too many take measures that simply don’t work,” said Mary Sheridan, director of research and analytics for DMEautomotive, in a release. “Most of us do ineffective things like stopping for that third triple-shot cappuccino or slapping water on our face just to keep going. As drivers, we need to heed our drowsiness and stop to sleep or let a rested person drive.”

If you experience any signs of drowsiness while on the road, make the responsible choice to get off the road. We here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep want all of our friends out there to be safe at all times!

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Up for Auction

Remember when we told you about the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and its 707 horses produced by a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 engine? Well, in a few weeks at the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2014 Auction you’ll have the opportunity to own the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat for yourself.

Not just any Hellcat is up for auction though; this will be the very first one off the line, VIN0001.

“The 2015 Challenger Hellcat is already guaranteed to be one of the hottest cars that will roll through the Barrett-Jackson auction lanes in decades to come,” Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge and SRT Brands, Chrysler Group LLC said in a Barrett-Jackson press release. “The VIN 0001 being auctioned this year is the ultimate one-of-one collectible 2015 Dodge Challenger, as Dodge is ensuring there will never be another one like it.”

Adding to the rarity and desirableness of this 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will be the fact it is the only one that will ever be available in Stryker Red – a Viper-exclusive paint. The paint job will also be Viper-esque in the way that it is applied, by hand at the Viper paint facility.

While you can’t get this 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat anywhere besides the Barrett-Jackson Auction, you can contact us here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram about all the ones that come off the assembly line after it and haven’t already been bought!
