The 2015 Chrysler 200 Earns a Superior Safety Rating from IIHS

The only time it is okay to wreck a brand new, perfectly fine 2015 Chrysler 200 is when you’re working for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, IIHS, and you’re testing to see how well it holds up during various types of crashes. That is it. All other times, we recommend you keep this beautiful automobile in as nice a condition as possible.

However, accidents happen, even to the most cautious drivers. That is why the IIHS takes the time to test vehicles in the first place. Well anyone interested in owning the 2015 Chrysler 200 can rest assured knowing that it is officially a Top Safety Pick+.

“The 200 earns a superior rating for front crash prevention when equipped with its optional forward collision warning system with autobrake, part of a package called SafetyTec,” according to a IIHS press release. “In track evaluations, the system completely stopped the vehicle in the Institute’s 12 mph test and significantly reduced the vehicle’s speed in the 25 mph test.”

To get the all-new and extremely safe 2015 Chrysler 200 for yourself, be sure to come see us at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. After all, a very small percentage of cars actually earn a rating of “good” on small overlap front crash tests, wouldn’t be nice to know you’re driving one?

2014 Ram 2500 – The Ultimate Three-Quarter-Ton Heavy Duty Truck

2014 RAM 2500

2014 RAM 2500

The 2014 Ram 2500 is officially the ultimate three-quarter-ton heavy duty truck on the market. How did it get this lofty title? Well PickupTrucks.com, ran the Ram and its closest competitors – the 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 and Ford F-250 – through a series of 16 tests designed to accurately measure, in real-world conditions, which truck was the best.

It started on the right foot, coming into the test with the most powerful engine, a 6.4-liter V8 with 410 horsepower that produces 429 pound-feet of torque. Overall, that higher powered engine trailed somewhat in fuel economy, but allowed the Ram 2500 to take top marks in 10 of the 16 test as well as a unanimous first place finish with the three judges.

Specifically the judges felt “the Ram definitely offered the best interior and had the best ride of the three, comfortably traversing just about every smooth and broken tarmac surface,” according to pickuptrucks.com. “Even though it sat below our $50,000 price cap, it still provided a lot of technology and features that the other two players could not match: the RamBox, adaptable rear coils, hidden storage, a top-notch information center and more.”

Don’t Touch My Dart Commercials

New car buyers can be overprotective of their new cars. We’ve all known someone who was like this, that didn’t even want their friends to touch their new car. Well Dodge is taking this idea to a new level with an advertising campaign for the 2014 Dodge Dart called Don’t Touch My Dart.

The commercials feature comedians/actors Craig Robinson and Jake Johnson, but rather than us try to explain them to you… Just watch for yourself below.

While the humor appeal is obvious and works, you also get to see some of the most popular features of the 2014 Dart on display as well. In our personal favorite of the three commercials, Johnson is able to “voice touch” the inside of the Dart when Robinson answers his call at the touch of a screen – 8.4-inch UConnect Touch Screen that is.

“For the youthful mindset that is our Dart target, we will share fun and engaging stories about a highly protective Dart owner and the untouchable status of his prized possession, his beautiful new Dart,” Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, Chrysler Group LLC said in a Chrysler press release. “Throughout each chapter in the story the audience will learn about Dart’s key product advantages and innovative features. At the end of the day our objective is to educate, drive awareness and ultimately support sales. Craig (Robinson) and Jake (Johnson) deliver that while maintaining the essence of the Dodge brand spirit, character and full-of-life attitude.”

If these Don’t Touch My Dart commercials have successfully peaked your interest in owning a 2014 Dodge Dart to keep your own friends away from, come see us at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram!

Three Dodge Cars Earn JD Power APEAL Awards

APEAL Awards

Dodge cars have some of the highest curb appeal in their classes and now have APEAL trophies to prove it. J.D. Power’s 2014 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study found the Charger, Challenger and Dart as segment leaders for Large Cars, Midsize Sporty Cars and Compact Cars, respectively.

“These three APEAL awards, based on customer feedback, are a great way to celebrate Dodge’s 100 year anniversary and Chrysler Group’s commitment to continually deliver exciting, high quality vehicles,” Doug Betts, Senior Vice President – Quality, Chrysler Group LLC said in a press release. “A customer’s positive experiences with good quality lead to greater satisfaction, loyalty and the likelihood an owner will recommend their vehicle to friends and family. Personal recommendations are the most powerful type.”

At its core, the JD Power APEAL study is a measure of how happy customers are with their car. It takes into account 77 different attributes of the vehicle 90 days after the car was purchased. As you might expect, vehicles with the highest APEAL scores often have greater owner loyalty to the brand and are hard to keep on the lot due to demand. Good problems to have if you’re working at a car dealership!

If you’re interested in one of the three most APEAL’ing cars on the market, come see us at Rochester Hills to get behind the wheel of a 2014 Dodge Charger, Challenger or Dart.
