Chrysler’s Lucky Number is Seven

The Edwards Commitment Scale

Chrysler makes some of the most beloved vehicles in America. They are an American car company that knows what people in this country look for in a new car and they offer a lineup featuring some of the most recognizable models in the market. This sentiment was further vindicated by a new consumer survey by Strategic Vision in which seven Chrysler vehicles took home honors.

In the survey, consumers were asked to rank attributes of their vehicle and dealership experience on the “The Edwards Commitment Scale™ [which] ranges from 1=Hate it, 2=a Failure, 3=Unsatisfactory, 4=Satisfactory, 5=Excellent, 6=Delightful and 7=Love it” according to a Chrysler press release. This information was then used to determine the “Most Loved Vehicles” list, with the highest scoring vehicles given the honorary title.

The survey included choices for several categories of vehicles including small car, large car, mid-sized SUV, specialty coupe, full-size pickup, and heavy duty pickup. The biggest winner was the Dodge brand which brought in four of the seven spots. Additionally, RAM took two and Jeep netted the final spot.

  • Dodge Dart (small car)
  • Dodge Durango (mid-sized SUV)
  • Dodge Charger (large car)
  • Dodge Challenger (specialty coupe)
  • Jeep® Grand Cherokee (mid-sized SUV)
  • Ram 1500 (full-size pickup)
  • Ram 2500 (heavy duty pickup)
