Fiat Joins Forces with Chrysler to Form a Brand New Company – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles

Fiat Chrysler

When Fiat bought Chrysler for $4.35 Billion it raised a lot of questions: What types
of cars would they predominately sell? What would happen to the Chrysler brand?
Where would the company headquarters (HQ) be? What would the merger of the two
companies be named?

The latter of those questions has finally been answered to the tune of FCA – Fiat
Chrysler Automobiles, according to an AP news story. The new name comes complete with a new logo, as well as jointly traded FCA stock. One thing that is not changing is the wide array of brands housed under the FCA name: Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ferrari, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati and Ram.

Currently Fiat has a HQ in Milan and Chrysler in Detroit. Read more about the
new FCA in a Forbes article by Joann Muller, where she addresses the question of where the FCA corporate HQ will be.

With so many questions still unanswered about the FCA brand, one thing you can
know for certain is Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram will  continue to provide the same great cars, trucks and SUVs combined with our commitment to outstanding service that you’ve come to expect.

Jeep Makes X Games For the 11th Time

2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition

2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition

A Jeep can’t ride a snowboard down a half pipe, get big air on a pair of skis or back-flip with a snowmobile, but a Jeep has secured a spot in the X Games for the 11th-consecutive year. “The Jeep brand has been a proud sponsor of the ESPN X Games Aspen for 11 years.  It is a collaboration that reaches a core consumer audience – those who share a desire for excitement and adventure,” said Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC in a recent press release.

Going above and beyond its normal sponsorship of the X Games, Jeep is giving
away a brand new 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition as part of the “Polar Quest” social media campaign which also gave a few lucky fans the opportunity to attend the 2014 X Games in Aspen, CO.

Although you can’t buy the X Games version of the 2014 Jeep Wrangler Polar
Edition at your local Jeep retailer, the rest of the 2014 Jeep Wranglers offer the same commitment to rugged, element-battling yet comfortable driving experiences.

“Both the Jeep brand and X Games Aspen demonstrate what is possible when we
face challenges with determination and passion,” said Olivier Francois, Chief
Marketing Officer, Chrysler Group LLC. More information on the 2014 Jeep
Wrangler Polar Edition is available at 3d-car-shows.com.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500 Each Win AutoBytel.com Award

2014 Jeep Grand CherokeeAutobytel.com—“Your Lifetime Automotive Advisor”—has named its “SUV of the Year” and “Pickup Truck of the Year” award recipients. It should come as no surprise to anyone—it certainly doesn’t come as any sort of surprise to the staff here at Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram—that the respective winners of those awards are the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2014 Ram 1500. Both vehicles racked up numerous awards toward the end of 2013, and each continues to start 2014 off on the right foot with yet another important victory.

“For 2014, the Jeep Grand Cherokee embodies a readiness to head off into the hills as an affordable family hauler wrapped around class-leading interiors chockfull of the safety, technology and comfort features that set the Grand Cherokee at the top of the heap,” said Michelle Naranjo, editor-in-chief, Autobytel. “For the second year in a row, the award winning Ram 1500 continues to bring fuel efficiency and tech in a bold package to the value shoppers and accomplishment seekers who want to get the job done right.”

Autobytel praised the Jeep Grand Cherokee for its deep model roster, its expert-level refinement, and its hallmark off-roading prowess.  The Ram 1500 earned high marks for the new EcoDiesel V6 engine that drives it, as well as the eight-speed automatic transmission mated to it and the standard rear coil suspension that makes this Ram truck more responsive than ever.

Autobytel.com’s editors boast a combined 80+ years of experience behind the wheels of various vehicles, so their word is gold when it comes to what’s good in automotive.  This year’s Autobytel award winners were determined based upon the primary factors of innovation, design, and features.  In late 2013, the Ram 1500 was named Motor Trend’s 2014 Truck of the Year; the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was trail rated as having best-in-class 4×4 capabilities and won the Cars.com/USA Today Mid-Size SUV Challenge head-to-head against all other comers.
