2013 Viper GTS-R Shows Up at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, times two

A few days ago the much-anticipated return of the Viper GTS-R made its way to Mid-Ohio Raceway, when SRT Motorsport’s Team Viper brought two to the sixth round of the American Le Mans Series at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The two cars fielded were the No. 91 Forza Motorsports Viper GTS-R (blue/silver) driven by Kuno Wittmer and Dominik Farnbacher and the No. 93 Pennzoil Ultra car (yellow/silver) driven by Marc Gooseens and Tommy Kendall.

The GT Class of ALMS racing has now become the most interesting and favorite series to watch this season. The Viper’s 8.4-liter V10 engine is said to make a very distinct sound on the track. The next time Team Viper competes will be at Road America in a few weeks.
